Anyone Know About This Change Coming To (All?) Phone Users?

Enigma, I do remember party lines. I think we had one when we lived in Alameda County for a couple of years, but I was too little to be very phone savvy. I don't think we had one after moving back to the city.

I visited my grandparents every summer, in Oregon. They had a party line for quite a while. As I recall, there was a ring "signal," for the household that was being called. One long ring, was for one home ... two short rings was for the other "party."
