I saw this back in the mid 70s or later. The movie/show opens with a criminal gang hijacking an armored car. They drive to an empty parking lot, attach it to a helicopter, raise it up a good ways and drop it. This smashes the car open, allowing them to remove the money. Gang was at least partly white males.
