Thing with 1986 is that I find that many of them sit all at the same level of enjoyment factor and rose above being just average or good.

I would say that Platoon was one of the best of the year in terms of quality Hollywood cinema and thematic and powerful presentation, but I would rate others over it as just pure enjoyment and favourite factor.
