Its actually a good story about two brothers who have had their problems and now have to work together to get revenge on the murderer of their mom while their dad is not himself either being grievestruck and therefor being non supportive to his sons.
Its a familydrama filled with beautiful shots (Frigga's funeral is fucking amazing).
I could do without Darcy and Ian because their presence is nothing but comical relief (and not very funny). There is also no need for them because there is plenty of subtle humour to be found (Who's Richard) in this movie.
Overall I really enjoyed watching this film again and it may not be the best MCU movie its still much better than a lot of other CBM's.

I love The Dark World.
You don't have to apologize for that, it's an awesome fucking movie with tons of great moments. Stand up, be proud of enjoying it, and don't let a few goofballs who want to pretend it's some terrible film dictate the narrative.

I saw TDW for the first time on a small airplane screen when I was flying to Kuala Lumpur. All my other views I have done at home. The first time I didnt like it that much. I still bought the DVD since I want to keep my collection complete. I have watched the MCU chronologically two times now and Im on my third time doing so after obtaining Doctor Strange. I try to do this once a year.
The last two times The Dark World came up I put it on and while it was playing I had a tendency to play my phone and do other stuff. It was my filler to get to TWS. This time however I decided to really watch it and it struck how good it actually is. I regret not giving this movie the credit it deserves on earlier viewings.
I recommend everyone to re-watch this one and really watch it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
