Yes, I've tried it. It tends to "break/flake" at the folds. If it starts to lose wax you can rewax it by grating a candle and putting it on top and melting it in a low oven.
They are quite bendy, but I use an elastic to keep them in place as well. Rinse them off with a sponge and lukewarm water.
