This one confounds me. Disney and Pixar have produced so much memorable content over the years. Many of these films only came along when I was already an adult. I mean, I was 26 when Toy Story 3 was released. Do these people seriously contend that people like me should have missed out on that masterpiece just because of the number of candles on our birthday cakes? And have they never heard of adult animation? South Park? American Dad? That's a really wacky example because the Toy Story movies aren't in the same league as American Dad or Family guy. The Toy Story movies are for children that like talking toys while adult animation is completely different. OK. Fair enough. But leave aside my South Park example and replace it with Disney's Aladdin, The Jungle Book or The Lion King. All of those are undeniably children's movies and yet it'd be a shame for people to miss out on them simply on account of their ages. To give a personal example, I watched Frozen for the first time one year ago and still consider it one of the best films I watched last year. In fact, it's my favourite film of 2013 to date. And Wreck-It Ralph secures my top spot for 2012. I had no difficulty enjoying them as a grown man in my 20s/30s. And I watch plenty of regular adult movies.
