Un Flic is a great choice, I think you’re rating is spot on. I love the film but the one issue I have with it is that dang helicopter sequence. Why did Melville concentrate on that so much? It was obviously done under an extreme budget but it would have been passable if it was just done briefly but Melville keeps that model in the camera for way too long. I don’t usually let that kind of thing get to me but wow he must have really owed his modelers something.
