I like David Lynch films despite only having the most slippery grasp on what's going on a lot of the time. So yeah, I guess. I liked Possession (not David Lynch) and I'm still not 100% on what that was about. Yeah, I mostly understand Mulholland Dr. and Lost Highway after a couple re-watches, but I have no clue what is going on in Inland Empire, nor do I even care. I had a hard time even finishing that movie, because I didn't like it at all, so I have no interest to watch it again to see if I could make more sense of it. Lynch deliberately makes his works dreamlike, so sometimes there is no sense to what's going on. To find it, you'd have to pick apart what's going on in his head at the time. Another film I kinda get is The Turin Horse (also not Lynch) but I feel like I'm missing something. Like there's more there to it than the obvious. I'm sure as hell not sitting through that slog again, though.
