Yeah, I mostly understand Mulholland Dr. and Lost Highway after a couple re-watches, but I have no clue what is going on in Inland Empire, nor do I even care. I had a hard time even finishing that movie, because I didn't like it at all, so I have no interest to watch it again to see if I could make more sense of it. Lynch deliberately makes his works dreamlike, so sometimes there is no sense to what's going on. To find it, you'd have to pick apart what's going on in his head at the time. Another film I kinda get is The Turin Horse (also not Lynch) but I feel like I'm missing something. Like there's more there to it. Yes, and that works with the rest of his movies except for Inland Empire. That movie is extremely tedious imo. The Turn Horse I believe is a metaphor for eternal recurrence, but I am sure there is more to it.
