Lynch deliberately makes his works dreamlike, so sometimes there is no sense to what's going on. To find it, you'd have to pick apart what's going on in his head at the time. Another film I kinda get is The Turin Horse (also not Lynch) but I feel like I'm missing something. Like there's more there to it. Yes, and that works with the rest of his movies except for Inland Empire. That movie is extremely tedious imo. The Turn Horse I believe is just a metaphor for eternal recurrence, but I am sure there is more to it. Inland had some composite concepts. That's why the rabbit family was in it. Lynch just stuffed it in from an idea for a short or a short he had filmed. If you try to make greater meaning of it, you'll just fry your brain.
