Disgusting stuff if it is like the ginger ale here. I dont drink soft drinks/soda.
Proper brewed ginger beer is something else. The best real ginger beer I have had is stuff I brewed myself from a ginger beer plant I had on my kitchen windowsill. I fed it for several weeks with a daily spoon of sugar and some grated ginger. It looked like a lava lamp gloop gloop gloop.
After bottling it was fizzy and had a real ginger pop to it , strong but mild at the same time, and half as much sugar than the recipe said, probably why none of my bottles exploded. No HFCS.
