Comedies must be the genre where you get so many forgotten films.
Science fiction or horror,
they tend to get some traction usually--over time--someone will bring them up. Cult fans.
But comedies?
Very much a product of the time they come from unless it's very early comedy.
Laurel and Hardy etc.
Comedies tend to be big studio financed and yet they can drop down the memory hole fast.
