When I was a kid, all M&Ms were dark brown, chocolate colored.
When they introduced the basic colors, red, green, orange, and yellow, I think, I used to feel as if those all had artificial colors when the originals did as well.
The bags lent themselves well to school probability experiments, for classrooms that allowed junk food.
