Olive oil, sea salt, black pepper and broil til charred. Delicious! (MTBG! It indicates "new member." Are you the old mtbg (aka "Teach")? If so, it's great to see you again! If not, welcome!  ) I've grilled asparagus, but never thought of broiling it. Now is the time to buy it up, and experiment. I'll try it. Hey Divtal! Yes, that's me. "Teach", Count gave me that nickname. No longer in the classroom as I'm a principal now but will always think of myself as a teacher. Hope all is well with you and yours!
