I wouldn't mind if Garfield came back to play Spider-Man in Sony's Marvel Spider-Verse. In fact, the more I think about, the more it makes sense. He's a great actor, and he did a decent job of portraying the character in the Amazing franchise.
It's unlikely that studios like Fox and Sony are going to give up their stranglehold on (now hot) Marvel IP. We also can't ignore the fans of the Fox and Sony films who shouldn't be cut off from those offerings abruptly.
The only way out of this "rights" quagmire is to let Marvel, Sony, and Fox all use the IP for their separate universes/franchises simultaneously. This arrangement would allow for Sony and Fox to do whatever they want (no matter how silly or ill-conceived). Marvel would also get a chance to incorporate these characters into their cinematic universe (in the more holistic way fans of the MCU have become accustomed to).
If you prefer Sony Spider-Man/Venom, you can see those films. If you like the Holland MCU take, you can see those movies instead. Hell, you can watch them all assuming you have the time and money.
It may be even beneficial to Marvel to have such an arrangement with regard to spreading the financial burden of creating some of their films across three studios.
That said, Venom (and his lascivious tongue), Silver Sable and Black Cat are of little interest to me without Spider-Man. I'm really surprised by everyone's excitement for a character that been a one-dimensional gimmick since day one.
