Justice League is not that bad of a movie, but it's just that the bar has been raised so high for superhero movies. DC made a mistake not giving Flash or Aquaman their own films before tackling Justice League. Cyborg's character development was definitely hurt by the reduction in screen time. Notwithstanding the erasing of Henry Cavill's moustache, the CGI during the battle in Russia had some atrocious looking CGI. Steppenwolf was too generic of a villain with a lack of a distinctive personality. Also, he wanted to terraform Earth, which is the same scheme from Man of Steel.
That said, I did love Cavill's portrayal of Superman in the film, especially during the final battle. The Whedon reshoots stick out, but Aquaman sitting on the Lasso of Truth got a laugh out of me.
