I genuinely adore this movie. For me it just comes off as a poorly made and poorly written riff on the Indiana Jones movies. Some of it is fun, but most of it is uninspired mediocrity that is more dumb than funny or charming. Richard Chamberlain makes a lot of it work for me. Goldsmith's score is pretty good and I think it helps the movie really doesn't waste much time. Ever seen the sequel? With James Earl Jones?
