The hospital where my wife works does not allow visible tats. If a nurse/tech/EVS/dietary person has one on their arm, the have to wear long sleeves.

Doctors can get away with anything

That's very good.

However, doctors can not have visible tattoos at all in the vast majority of hospitals. Nobody is gonna take them seriously.
