No. Starting to get underrated, if anything, recently. The pendulum always swings the other direction. We’ve seen this with the Prequels (bad to good reception) and now TDK trilogy is doing the same (good to bad), albeit to a much lesser extent. In what alternate dimension are Chris Nolan's Batman movies starting to get a bad reception? Ever since Dunkirk’s great reception in 2017 the film snobs and popcorn CBM crowds merged to start bashing Nolan incessantly. Tenet took the brunt of that hate, but it’s moved to the rest of his filmography too. I’ve seen them called overly self-serious melodrama (just as the OP did), right wing reactionary trash, fascist garbage, sexist, and poorly shot police procedurals - among other things.
