Didn't TDK have an exploding hospital, a Joker dressed as a nurse, a poorly protected district attorney and a helicopter crash in the middle of a city??? Yes it did. I don't know what the Joker dressed as a nurse has to do with my argument for TDKR being a terrible film. If you want to compare an abandoned hospital or a helicopter crash-- with a football field exploding during a game and an eventual nuclear explosion, go for it. But you can do it with someone else. If you liked TDKR, cool. I didn't. I could go point by point through all the idiotic things about TDKR, but I did that nine years ago and I don't care anymore. It was a bad movie that I have no desire to ever watch again, and even less desire to debate it. You're complaining about a superhero franchise jumping the gun and becoming exaggerated and more dramatic: what is it about a man dressed up as a giant bat hunting down crazed criminals in a rundown city that is telling you that "Warner Bros is going to try and dial things down a bit?"
