Yes it is. Begins was great. It felt like a live action version of the Batman Animated series. The Dark Knight was ok. Beyond Ledger's great performance, it was an overlong bore. Rises is bloated crap. I turned it off halfway, it was so bad. I agree with your take on Batman Begins, and I think Nolan wanted to move on from Batman when he made TDKR, so it’s not his best day at the office. But The Dark Knight isn’t just Ledgers performance. Harvey Dent is fantastic. What a great way to show a good guy descend slowly into the villain. He had those tendencies early on when Batman called him out for threatening a mentally ill sidekick of Joker. Then you see how the Joker used that to corrupt him. I loved that rooftop scene. When he is talking about killing Gordon’s son. “It’s not about what’s right it’s about what’s fair. We were trying to be decent men, in an indecent time.” Sometimes I think he outshines Ledger’s Joker. I didn't find Dent threatening enough in this movie, although the character in the comics is. I'm really not a fan of Eckhart, always thought he was a mediocre actor. Ledger completely owned the movie, IMO.
