Thanks for the great post, mike. Don't think I've seen this film, but it brings back a lot of memories just through the music. I love Berry's song, "Johnny B. Good." And what an odd but wonderful combination of talents under the aegis of Hal Roach Studies. It brings to mind the silent era, something not at all suitable for rock-n-roll.
And now I think maybe I did see it, but just can't remember it well enough. Oh, brother. Too many memories, and not enough brain cells. But you've got me going now, so thanks. Every bit of stimulation is a good thing these days.
