A childhood favorite that I got to revisit last year because of you, timshelboy . No masterpiece, but it held up well. Thanks so much. And I know this isn't from a film, but I have to add it. May it be true for everyone on planet as soon possible, metaphorically or otherwise. spiderwort - I wasn't ignoring you - I wanted to locate another Ann Sheridan vehicle from the same time TAKE ME TO TOWN Ann plays Vermillion O'Toole, a dance hall girl on the run from the law who hides out with widower Sterling Hayden and his 3 kids. If you have ever seen a movie before you'll know already where this one is going but it is a lovely journey getting there. Much prefer Sirk's early Americana (this and HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY GAL? for example) over the latter lush more feted melodramas. Ideal for a family friendly classic as an Easter Treat.
