My point was that The Godfather is already something of a franchise, so I don’t know if people would be that outraged if it got remade. People would definitely be mad, but I’d assume they’d be more mad if that happened with CK. So you aren't asking for my opinion? A remake of The Godfather would be more bothersome to me than a remake of Citizen Kane and also more pointless, regardless of being a "franchise." I was speaking more broadly in terms of how film circles as a whole would respond, not necessarily what people here think. I guess I should have clarified that.
