Of those mentioned I think Citizen Kane would be the craziest because it was written as a movie-so there's no grounds for re-interpretation.
It was entirely about Orson Welles.
Someone might argue they can modernize it and maybe do some crazy experiment like putting everyone in makeup so they try match the original except modern and in color or something.
