White Chicks was hilarious but it is a little hypocritical that black people posing as white - and women at that- wasn't thought offensive. It was. But not at the same level as black face. I understand that "blackface" is offensive to some and on a more egregious level than "whiteface" because of a history of slavery, racism, segregation and Jim Crow.
And "White Chicks" was definitely offensive to preppy white schoolgirls. Lol.
But my point here, and as a political commentary on "blackface", is that people do not have a right not to be offended.
In comedy, in satire, in lampoon, any offense is acceptable. What is not acceptable is a "politically correct" ban on free speech.
