I just saw a commercial on NESN all about the yellow uniforms.

Apparently, it's all about "facing the future and flipping it like a bat". What that means, I don't have a clue. But the Nike swoosh is very visible, so that's what really counts. Because nothing says social change like being led by a corporation that uses child labor to make their product.

The play by play announcer said that he's heard that "the kids" like them, and Jerry Remy just called them "sharp". I'm sure those opinions are 100% theirs, and not NESN telling them what to say. 🙄

The other big thing is that the jerseys say Boston, not Red Sox. It's all about uniting the community. Apparently, if it just says Red Sox, lots of folks won't understand the Boston connection.

The Patriot Day unis always said “Boston “ and not “Red Sox”.

I guess for one day it’s okay. But let’s not pretend is for anyone but to sell jerseys. For a good cause or no, I’m sure the team will get a nice cut
