I’ll go with Gunn. Both have a habit of bringing humor into otherwise dramatic moments, but their method is different in the MCU: -Gunn would subvert a serious moment afterwards with a joke (scene with Kraglin and Nebula) -Waititi would try to be serious immediately AFTER a joke (scene with Korg and the destruction of Asgard)
I find the former more tolerable, especially since there were still serious moments that stayed serious in GOTG (Yondu’s death).
I’ll add that I like Waititi more OUTSIDE of the MCU and I like Gunn’s MCU movies more than his non-MCU movies.
