The worst aspect of the Venom in Spider-Man 3 is that he is skinny. The one thing Venom gets right is the look of the character.

I don't think Tom Hardy or Topher Grace are particularly good in the role, though Tom Hardy is technically well cast.

I think Christopher Meloni would have been perfect for the role, he played a violent psychopath in Oz that would been perfect for Brock/Venom.

Except he isn't written as a psychopath in Venom and Meloni is too old.

I'll try and think of who I think would be best as the character.
