I think it was a mix of corporate BS and lack of the fantastic and bland acting.

I agree. Maybe the same thing but a little more Kun Lun, a little more relevant Hand, and I'm not sure about the acting because I think a lot of it was there wasn't much material to work with. That's why it felt like it was running in place sometimes.
