Morals and ethics are essentially the same thing, and I'm not sure I would call a birth date "legal." Try morality vs legality.

Morals refer to principles.

Ethics refer to actions.

The moral man knows he shouldn't date a teenager. The ethical man actually won't do it.

As far as legality, that just refers to the date for which a person reaches the age of adulthood in that particular state, by law, but not necessarily by maturation.
