The Descendants is underrated. Lots of great performances in there. Moneyball is one of the best sports films of the past 10 years. Midnight in Paris is inspired Hugo is one of the best family fantasy films of the past 10 years. I agree, “The Artist” is pretentious, and the Academy was voting on Nostalgia for a time gone by, and “Extremely Loud” is just Hanks Oscar bait? THE ARTIST - 7/10 THE DESCENDANTS - 8/10 EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE - 3/10 THE HELP - 6/10 HUGO - 6/10 MIDNIGHT IN PARIS - 6/10 MONEYBALL - 4/10 THE TREE OF LIFE - 1/10 WAR HORSE - 5/10 What year would you say is best? Of the past decade? 2013 (when 12 YEARS A SLAVE won). That was a pretty good year. Nebraska was way over hyped. I do like “Her” a lot. Probably my favorite of that year. Also “Wolf of Wallstreet” Dallas Buyers Club was overrated. Matthew gave a great performance, in a mediocre film.
