I agree, “The Artist” is pretentious, and the Academy was voting on Nostalgia for a time gone by, and “Extremely Loud” is just Hanks Oscar bait?

I do like “Her” a lot. Probably my favorite of that year. Also “Wolf of Wallstreet”
Dallas Buyers Club was overrated. Matthew gave a great performance, in a mediocre film.
