High School was a walk in the park for me. I always got good grades without having to put much of an effort, and that was especially true for Mathematics. So it was a shock for me when I took Calculus 1 in my first semester at university and couldn’t make heads or tails of any of it. I got a passing grade but just barely. In my defense, this was also the case for everyone else in the class. The professor was just terrible. Next semester for Calculus 2 with a decent professor I understood everything and got an A.
