Yes, another thread to fawn over this glorious classic. One of those movies that formed the bedrock for my love of cinema. The future war sequence is still fucking awesome and no sequel has yet to surpass it. Visual effects that still hold up quite well, Arnold shotgun twirling, and Linda Hamilton kicking ass. Like James Cameron did with Aliens five years prior, the last act is a prolonged action sequence that never lacks for excitement (coincidentally, both sequels arrived seven years after the original). If I take any issue with the movie, the desert scenes bring it to a crawl. Apparently, Arnold being a good Terminator was meant to be a surprise. I only saw the original film years later so that effect was lost on me. This is also probably the first R-Rated movie I saw.
3rd for me, unless you count edited R-rated movies on TV. Predator and The Terminator were the first 2 R-rated movies I was allowed to watch. Terminator 2 is one of the movies that formed my love of movies as well. I could talk about the movie all day. T-1000 is my second favorite movie villain of all-time.
