Japanese composer Shunsuke Kikuchi has left us at the age of 89, on April 24th.
He specialized in incidental music for media such as television and film. Active since the early 1960's, he was one of Japan's most highly demanded film and TV composers, working principally on tokusatsu and anime productions for children, as well as violent action films, jidaigeki and television dramas. he was inactive since 2017, when he stated that he was taking a break to be treated for an illness.
His music can also be heard on the soundtracks of the two Kill Bill movies 2003 and 2004.
