They really are playing good ball, and they're getting help from many different players. They got Mike Trautman from the Yankees in a small trade last week, and he's been fantastic so far.
The Giants have also been dealing with a ton of injuries. Young Yaz, Cueto, Solano, LaStella, and others have missed time, but the team keeps winning.
I've heard nothing but bad things about Gabe Kapler as a manager, but truthfully, in two years I've been pretty impressed by how he leads ths team. He does make some questionable bullpen decisions, but other than that, I got no real complaints.
