Why do people like to vacation to the beach so often?

He was in the Air Force and was assigned to Patrick Air Force Base. (Now: Patrick SPACE Force Base) which is just south of Cocoa Beach.

He worked with the Range Safety guys, that made sure it was safe to launch the rockets from the NASA Space Center, and they were also tasked with pressing the self destruct button, when they went out of control, since civilians were not up to that task, especially when it came to the Space Shuttle.
