I actually feel claustrophobic when I'm near the ocean. I know I can't go any further and I feel almost trapped, like hitting a wall. Obviously, I'm not a fan of beaches. I also just find them kind of boring in general. Not my cuppa. I can see your point. It's like you're on the edge of something with nowhere to go beyond. But I grew up near the ocean, surfing and boating. So it's in my blood now.
