Hated to even have heard about it in my youth, sounded like something who those who gives apples to thier teachers liked.
The music in it self won me over, and finally the movie in it self.
Think Robert Wise and his staff did the right thing, re-arrange the musical numbers to make it work as a whole movie, unlike other Rodger's and Hammersteins versions.
