Watching the 4K version. Sony certainly can’t be accused of applying any digital noise reduction. The film grain in scenes is almost comical. Though it’s likely a simple effect, I always like when the eggs start cooking on Ripley’s counter. Why does Venkman have Thorazine on their date later? It only adds to the criticism he is a sexual predator. Walter Peck getting doused in hot marshmallow should be akin to getting napalmed. One of my all time favorites.
