I haven’t yet seen the 4k version but I remember the bluray was criticized back when it first came out. I held onto my DVDs of the two films. If I recall correctly I believe the film stock used back in 84 for the film was pretty low quality especially with regards to low lighting situations.
Definitely one of my favorites growing up and still a fun film to revisit often. Lots of great lines and the visuals are really well done for the period.
I never really thought about Venkman being a sexual predator but yeah it fits. From his introduction making advances on one of his students to bringing Thorazine on his date before he would have known Dana was possessed that fits...
I remember the guy with a suit on and the bright Orange/red hair at the end of the film during the crowd scenes used to comment on the old IMDb board for the film. Seemed like a really nice guy.
