I haven’t yet seen the 4k version but I remember the bluray was criticized back when it first came out. I held onto my DVDs of the two films. If I recall correctly I believe the film stock used back in 84 for the film was pretty low quality especially with regards to low lighting situations. I remember the guy with a suit on and the bright Orange/red hair at the end of the film during the crowd scenes used to comment on the old IMDb board for the film. Seemed like a really nice guy. Just for comparison, Ghostbusters had an estimated budget of $30 million. Temple of Doom, released the same summer, had an estimated budget of $28 million.
