Marillion. Think they were only popular in the UK. Do all right in Europe, but European prog was never much of a success in the US with a few exceptions. Used to see the Fish incarnation back in 79/80 when they were just starting playing the London Marquee, would chat to them before some of the gigs, seemed nice guys if quiet. Marillion after Fish were a totally different kettle of (pardon the pun) fish, and more AOR/MOR so that would have been the ideal time to hit America, but it's just too costly to take on for a band that size. They pretty much entirely self fund through their fan base and touring the States just isn't viable apart from a handful of dates here and there.
