American designer, illustrator, and writer of children's books Eric Carle has left us at the age of 91, on May 23rd.
He was most noted for "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", a picture book that has been translated into more than 66 languages and sold more than 50 million copies. Some of his work has been transformed into movie shorts and TV shorts.
