And you are correct, Simmons does make a majority of his free throw attempts. His career percentage made according to basketball reference is 59.7%. I wasn’t sure just how good or bad that is so for a comparison I looked up Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, especially since people call him the next Magic. Bird’s career percentage made is 88.6% and Magic’s is 84.8%. Now that’s just two players but it seems to be a wide gap. I would think a generational talent would be closer to the talent he’s being compared to.
