So what kind of twist does he have up his sleeve this time? It better not be be something stupid like them being a part of some twisted experiment on psychological drugs and what not. I once wrote a short story in typewriter days about some people who went through a bizarre experience, only to find they were behind a wrecked truck that had such a hallucinogenic gas escape. I took it to a meeting where the people hated it so much that they borrowed each copy, and while one of them spoke to me, the others ripped up every copy to shreds. So, I figured it had no future. I didn't insult anyone in the story, so the story itself just irked people. (There was one control freak who insisted on tearing it up. He controlled the others and over time the group dissolved.)
