LOL I do remember all those 13 parters that Swedish TV used to show during summers in the mid 1970s, many years later I've tried to figure out what some of them where.
But I surely remembers Flash Gordon or Blixt Gordon as we called him, and his forever nemisis Emperor Ming the Merciless, isn't it fun that the heroes runs around in what looks like a Robin Hood movie leftovers, and yet manages to have advanced technology. I think it was Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe with Buster as Flash, Charles Middleton as Ming, and the good inventor Zarkov who always managed to be kidnapped, or have his blueprints stolen, and Dale Arden who always was a lady in distress.
Cliffhangers! That was the name I was trying to remember...
Another one was about a belt that made good guys invisible but if the bad guys got hold of the same belt they could do bad tings, and they did. Offcourse it got stolen all the time in a 13 parter. The Vanishing Shadow 1934 starring Onslow Stevens.
The Shadow or Lamont Granston, the way they did it with a bored Rod La Roque in two movies shows how not to make superheroes movies on a very low budget, they still hadn't figured it out in the Balwin later day movie. Some superheroes worked well on oldtime radio but not on film.
