No consequences in the MCU...

It depends on the movie. I thought the stakes and consequences of the Ant Man and Spider-Man movies were pathetically weak. Peter has a pretty easy breezy life compared to the previous Spidey franchises (not to mention the original comics). Most of the other movies do a good job though. Thor, for instance, has lost and sacrificed a lot. As did Cap and Tony.
