is this what you call a good movie? I guess not but in terms of movies that really do "make you feel like a kid again" this one fits the bill perfectly While it's definitely mainly a Nintendo commercial as it has been slammed as, I actually like that it does try to tell an emotional type story involving loss and family and there are lots of scenes with the characters just talking to each other. It feels like we get to know them Movie has an awesome 80s soundtrack (Send Me an Angel by Real Life for the win) and is one of those family movies that tries to be edgy with swearing and sexual references that were popular in the 80s and early 90s also took me a while to realize that this was basically a kids movie version of Rain Man which came out the previous year and what was with that pedo announcer at the end who grabbed the female contestant? Fun facts the main girl is played by Jenny Lewis who became an indie rock singer who has made a lot of good work Shout Factory released a Blu ray last year with remastered picture, new interviews. and almost 40 minutes of deleted scenes a young Tobey Maguire appears near the end sporting a mullet the guy who plays the main antagonist Lucas became a registered sex offender. Guess he was pretty "bad" after all
