Vanilla is certainly a flavor, WKD prefers French vanilla but I've also seen Vanilla Bean and Homemade Vanilla.

Oh yeah agree. Vanilla is a flavor. But do you consider adding fruit to Vanilla a new flavor? I think of it as still Vanilla just with some fruit.

The local ice cream place totes new flavors all the time like Kit Kat crunch. But all they did was toss some Kit Kat bars in some vanilla, I don’t really consider that a new flavor....
